My ,Last Post : Bucket List

i have 10 things I want to accomplish during my lifetime. So, i decided to make my own bucket list. And please enjoy.

I want  to speak Chinese fluently. I really want to do fluent in speaking another language. I hope I'll be able to communicate with Chinese people.
'
I want to have a dog. I hanven't own a pet for few years. I feel really bored and lonely. I want to have a Maltese which will be adorable and obedient.

I want to visit Western Europe. I've never been there and I want to see the Eiffel Tower and such other famous monuments.

I want to live in a detached house. I want to have a housh with a big lawn and also a second florr. It will be way more comfortable than living in an apartment.

I want to grow my hair down to my stomach. My hair was always short so I wnat to grow it long aS i can.

I want to live in L.A for 1 year again. I had great time and had a loft of fun. I want to visit some famous places and have some fun.

I want to get my jov in the future that I want. I will find my job that has similar charcteristics to me. So I'll be satisfied later.

I want to grow to be 165cm tal. I'm, pretty nervous because i think I'm not growing now. I'll drink more milk to grow.

I want to meet One Direction in the future. I am a big fan of One Direction, especially Liam. I want to get a sign from them as well.

I want to scuberdive in Hawaii. I really love to wim thoguh I had almost no opportunities to wim due to the thight schedule in middle school. I want to see tropical fish swarming.

I sincerely want to accomplish my 10 goals and feel satisfaction and happiness later.

7.27(Sat) : Diary

Today was saturday!! Though it didn't seem real due to the tight schedule. We had a history presentation. I was doing on the topic of Perseus. I had 2 main points I had focused on. There were the 2 occurencs which were the event of Medusa and rescuing Andromeda. I talked about that Perseus was a demi-god who was able to become known as a hero by gods' help. Without the shield that was given by Athena and the sword, he wouldn't be able to kill Medusa and the sea monster. My teachere and friends made comments on me. Some said my speech was kind of fast, but very clear. They said I didn't use the primary sources. They pointed out my weakness and I thought that I should try to improve them. We did the 'English Pop Song Contest' for about 1 hour and an half. We did 'Viva La Vida' and we actually turned out to fail in presenting. There were many problems. Such as, that the sod was too sad and boring. Everybody didn't know the sond and couldn't participate. We should have rather done 'Upside Down, What makes you beautiful , One way or another, We will rock you' which are way more better. I had many complicated feelings after this contest and we should make good decisions.

6th post: Photo Essay

Introduction
I've got to go to the 20th GLPS summer camp during the vacation. I was very excited and kind of worried. I want to use this time very usefully for my development. I hope I will enjoy it and have some fun as the last camp I'll be able to go until I'm 20 years old.






First Picture : Bus
Firstly, I took a bus to come to the GLPS camp. It took about 2 hours to come to KMLA. I  listened to music and made phone calls to my parents. I was
very happy and very excited about the program.






Second Picture: Dormitory

The dormitory has 12 floors. I've got to stay in the 8th floor room number 7. There were 6 friends in two rooms. The bed was above the desk. There were staircases as well. I felt kind of awkward because it wasn't my home. I felt weird about it, though soon I adapted to the environment.


Third Picture : Cafeteria

The cafeteria was quite big. We've got to get our food like a buffet. We were able to get as much food as I wanted. There were a variety of menus such as spaghetti, seafood, salad, and many others. I think I'm becoming healthier due to not eating snacks that I usually eat at home.




Fourth Picture: Friends



I made 3 friends that are very close to me. They are Su-yeon, Su-Gyeong, and Sung-Eun. Two of them are in my room and the other one is in my class. I think they are very kind and nice. I think they are friends that had  been friends for 10 years. They are thoughtful and wise.



Fifth Picture: Hills

There are steep hills in KMLA. I had a hard time becoming familiar with them. I always get tired and my legs trembled. It seemed that the hill would never end. I think I'm losing weight due to the hills. I hope I'll have lost 3kg after this camp.

                                                                                           

Sixth Picture : Rain

It rained cats and dogs during the first week. It was very humid and sticky. My socks were always wet and I felt very dirty. I intend to take a shower more frequently now.




Seventh Picture: Mock Trial

My favorite subject in the GLPS camp is Mock Trial. It is a form of debate. We have the Crown and the Defense. There are witnesses and the accused. There are some roles that everybody can participate in. It is very fun competing with each other and stating strong arguments.




Conclusion
I am having a lot of experiences in the GLPS camp. It is quite enjoyable and I'm having a good time.I hope there will be good result in my speech and mock trial contest! I also hope this camp will be a god motive for me to flourish and attend good a high school.

5th post : Persuasive Writing

Dear my mother,
I am writing this letter because I believe you should buy me a smartphone.

Many experts like Steve Jobs, for example agree with me. I will explain reasons for this and give facts to support my opinion.

The first reason is because I can communicate with others easily. There are statistics to show this is true. According to , 41-Yes smatphone(click here), communication can be made quickly through email and instant messaging and chat.

The second reason is because smartphones keep me organized. There are facts to show this is true. It has been discovered that smartphones have a of functions like monitor appointments and set reminders according to is4profit (click here).

The final reason is because smartphones help me with studying. There is data to show this is true. It is now known by the article 'Could smart phones help students learn in high school?' which states that students learn in high school?' (click here)which states that students should participate in smart phones to increase efficiency.

Based on my arguments, I hope you will consider my point of view and buy me a smart phone for these reasons.

4th post : Creative Writing

         It was just a plain day like the others. It was very mild and Ashley prepared to go to her new job. She did her same routine and went out of the door of her house. Ashley was very satisfied because she got to have a job that she really wanted and which was a hair designer. She prepared for four years by doing part -time job like working in convenience store and rough work. She felt a lot of confidence in herself. When she arrived at the hair company S, she was pretty nervous, though she took a deep breath. She headed to the hall and saw many famous hair designers. Then, Ashley suddenly stopped for a moment and stared while a bunch of thoughts grazed through her head. She actually run against with a man who looked very familiar and similar to someone. Ashley just passed without another glimpse. When she entered her room that she'll be working in for five years. She was a bit nervous and also happy that she had her own room now. She had a co-worker who'll she be working with and he was that same man she met in the hall. She was very surprised because once agin thought he was very familiar to her. Ashley made greetings with the others and now, it was his turn. Ashley said, "Hi, My name is Ashley Lee and nice to meet you!" The man said "Hello, my name is Joseph Lee and nice to meet you,too!" Ashley felt awkward because they had the same sir naems. Ashley did an orientation and Joseph also got to do it, too. After the orientation, Ashley said goodbye to Joseph. Then, a thought grazed Ashley's mind.

7.26(Fri) : Diary

Today, was the Mock Trial! I was very nervous, but somehow feeling comfortable because witnesses didn't have a lot of work to do. The lawyers should match the time adn make up more questions. It is actually a very tough job. Witnesses just needed to answer the questions and it was pretty simple. The result, or, the outchome was our team losing. It was too obvious in my thoughts, because we had a lot of weakness that we needed to improve. There were mainly 2 of them. First, the lawyers didn't act ery well. It felt like something is kind of missing, the strategies were too weak, we didn't prove Mrs. Johnson's innocence in a clear way. We had only one evidence as well. Also, the cross-examination was too weak. The lawyer didn't ask questions that made actual sense and kept making opinions about the case. So, I was very worried. Of course, there were about total 10 objections from the Crown side. It was pretty obvious. I wanted to act out as the cross-exam lawyer because it would be fun making rebuttal. I have confidence to point out the weakness of the other side as well. I will try harder at the next trial.

7.25(Thurs) : Diary

It is the day before the first Mock Trial. I am pretty nervous because I'm the witness who should stay in the character and answer the questions very well. I practiced with Seong-Ji about the questions that can be made from the Crown side. I hope there will be a good result. I made a blog in the computer room. I used www.blogger.com to create my own blog. It was a complicated procedure to make it, though I was satisfied  with my first post that I made. It was about self- introduction and I explained myself with 3 special things about myself. My blog was pretty well made. After he researched for information about our history presentation. I was presenting about Perseus, so, I mentioned about Medusa, Andromeda, and such other things for more direct information. It was a hard job, I used Wikipedia to find. It was the comfortable website having all of the major contents about it. Mr.Cox said that we should be careful when using Wikipedia because information in it isn't accurate sometimes. I actually agree because I just usually copy and paste what's in Wikipedia and find out that there are many errors. I should be careful!

Third Post : Movie Review

After few days in the GLPS camp we watched a movie called 'The Princess Bride.' It was made in 1987 directed by Robe Reiner. The genres is fairy tale, romantic comedy, and adventure. The movie was quit long for about 2 hours. The characters were the boy, Buttercup, Westley, Prince Humperdick, Fezzik, Inigo, Vizzini, Miracle Max and the citizens. The settings were cliffs of insanity, fire swamp, lightening sand, Forrest of Theives and Pit of Despair.

The main storyline is about Buttercup and Westley's true love. Buttercup and Westley and loved each other, although Westley left to get money and seek fortune. After 5 years, Buttercup gets married with Prince Humperdick though Buttercup doesn't want the marriage. She gets kidnapped in the Forrest of Theives by Fezzik, Inigo, and Vizzini. The theives attempt to kill Buttercup to blame the other country that they killed her to start a war. It was all Prince Humperdick's big plan. Westley faces some hardships during this quest. He gets to get tortured by the Pit of Despair by Prince Humperdick. Westley rescues Buttercup at the moment Buttercup was getting married to Prince Humperdick. Westley attacks the villans and live happily with Buttercup.

There were several lessons I learned from this movie. One was that true love never breaks and lasts forever. The other one was about bravery and knowledge to face challenges. Also, the movie had some parts of Inigo's revenge. Indigo managed to revenge Miracle Max who had 6 fingers because he killed his father. The person who had the most leadership was Westley because he attempted to rescue Buttercup with his courage. I learned some qualities of leadership from the movie. I learned teamwork, driving force, and self-control. Teamwork was shown by thieves which were Fezzik, Inigo, and Vizzini. They helped each other to handle Westley with their own skills. Fezzik used his strength and power. Inigo used his fighting skills. Vizzini who was the smart one attempted to use his brain to beat Westley. Though, Westley was the one who won. Also, the boy was very cute when he claimed to his grandfather to stop when Buttercup and Westley kissed. I found of kind of shocking that the story was read by the grandfather because I forgot of that fact that the movie was actually from the story.  The movie was too old and boring, I was very disappointed. I do not recommend this movie! 

7.24(Wed) : Diary

It is already the second day of the classes! Time is going so quickly! The first class was golf, We had golf lessons for 2 hours. A pretty teacher  taught us ate the second florr. We did golf with an iron which was hard and heavy. I had a hard time handling it. It was very hard to swing it and hit the ball. I kept making mistakes which was very embarrassing. I needed to practice a lot. The teachere was so good at it that I was very surprised of her skills. After, we did debate. I was Miss.Choi. We worked in two teams which are the Crown and the Defense. I was in the Defense team. We practiced questions that can be made during the real mock trial. We had 3 history classes in a row which was very hard for me. I picked Perseus as my presentation topic. There weren't any contents in the thick books that were given. I just hate history and memorizing the facts which is such an headache. We watched the Mock Trial in the Dasan building and my spine felt so miserable and my neck as well, However there was a prize which was Chocopie and I loved it.

7.23(Tues) : Diary

Today, it was the first actual day we did our classes. We did the orientation, the director and the teachers were introduced. It was kind of boring, clapping for about 5 minutes in a row. ㅠㅠ After the boring oritentation, we had an administration from our homeroom teacher who was Garrioch. He was very kind and we chose our pop song that will be sung at the English Song Contest. We chose "Viva La Vida" by Coldplay. I didn't know that song so I wasn't that interested about it. I wanted to do "What Makes You Beautiful" by One Direction, though, it was already chosen. The first class was debated which was led by Tierney. It was a debate called Mock Trial that was made in the Canadian courts. I was very confused at the first because I was supposing of British or American debate. I was pretty disappointed. Mock Trial had the Cronw, the accused, wittness, defense, and so on. I 've go to have a role as a witness whih is Ms.Choi. It will be very exciting and thrilling tomorrow. It has already been 3 days. I'm eating well and sleeping well. I'm pretty satisfied about this GLPS camp and looking forward to it.

7.22 (Mon) : Diary

It is already the second day in the GlPS camp. I started to get kind of homesick. The classe3s haven't acutally started yet. We took two tests which were writing and speaking. Eventually, my class was 18. I became very friendly with my roommates. I called with my mother and it was pretty touching.ㅠㅠ I actually want to go home and be with my family. However, I decided to do my best in this camp for 4 weeks with good friends and teachers, It is very thrilling and exciting as well. I am very excited about the classes tomorrow. The food is so so, I acutally want to eat my mom's food. I am pretty quickly adapted to this situation and especially waking up early. However, I can't understand why the lights are off at 10:30. I hope the time will be 1:00 because I need more time to do my homework from school especially math. I am very expectant about tomorrow! I hope I'll meet good friends and teachers tomorrow.I hope it will be very exciting. I'm especially lookinjg forward to the parlimentary debate because I want to learn skills of POI. I want to participate well and get certificates at the last.^^

Second Post : Set Goals!!

Yesterday, I saw a TED talk about 30-day challenges by Matt Cutts. He had a lot of goals and some interesting ones were no sugar, no caffeine, writing a novel, and climbing high mountains. I'm attempting to set 3 goals that will be available, during the GLPS camp.

There are standards for goal setting, it can be intialized as Smart. S stands for specific, M stands for measurable, A stands for specific, R stands for relevant and T stands for Time-Bound. Goals should have these characteristics. I'll introduce my 30-day goals; there are 3 of them.

My first goal is finishing my math homework. To achieve this, I need to make more time by doing my GLPS homework quickly. I will use 2 hours and do 20 pages a day.

My second goal is finishing my school vacation homework. I need to check tyhe list by using th computer in the Dasanh building. I'll need to use Hangul-document for 2 hours a day to do my ethics, science, english, and social studies homework.

My last goal is losing 3kg during the camp. I won't eat snacks during the night. I won't drink sugary beverages.

I hope my goals will be achieved during the GLPS camp. I will accomplish them for my self-confidence. I hope there will be good results of the goals and be leaded to success! Fighting~!

First Post : Self Introduction^^

                Hello, nice to meet you! I am Jenny from GLPS 20. It is the first post I'll make. So, I decided to introduce myself to you. I am 14 years old having 3 essential things that I want to talk about. First, I have a pet which is a panda mouse. His name is Jack. He has white and black patterns and he's cute and small. Second, I love listening to pop music. I especially like singers which are Taylor Swift and One Direction.

They're songs are so good such as 'We are never ever getting back together' and 'What makes you beautiful.' To wrap up, my favorite book is 'The Tree Grows in Brooklyn.' It is about a girl named Francie and her life. There are a lot of lessons, mainly 3 things which are poverty, education, and endurance. So, I recommend this book. Thank you and let's have some fun!
