Dear my mother,
I am writing this letter because I believe you should buy me a smartphone.
Many experts like Steve Jobs, for example agree with me. I will explain reasons for this and give facts to support my opinion.

Based on my arguments, I hope you will consider my point of view and buy me a smart phone for these reasons.

I don't think it's appropriate to claim that Steve Jobs agrees with you... You also fail to address the obvious drawbacks of having a smartphone and thus your argument feels one-sided and much less persuasive.
